This section is for students who are studying Computing at A-level and want some practise at questions.
When you click on a link to a topic a new question on that topic is randomly generated and displayed. Enter your answer and click on 'Check', the computer will tell you if you got it correct.
You are allowed three goes at each question. If you get it wrong three times then a full solution for the question is shown and you can have a go at a new, similar question.
If you get the question correct with your first answer then you will level up to a harder question. The highest level is Level 3 - well done if you get all the Level 3 questions correct.
The first time that you give a wrong answer you will be given a general hint about how to solve the question. If you get it wrong a second time then a more detailed hint will be shown which gives an example.
If you get your question wrong three times in a row then a detailed solution for that particular question is given, explaining exactly how to work out the answer.
You can then have a go at another, similar question on the topic at the same level. If you get this one right first time then you will be promoted to the next level.
Remember you only level up in a topic if you get a topic question correct with your first answer. The top level is Level 3 - these are A-level standard questions.
